Absolute best library I've ever been to. Staff are welcoming and kind, always willing to help. I asked one of them if they knew any kid books having to do with robots. The lady spent a good while finding several books and handed them to me. They were a hit!
The kid section is amazing, there's Duplos and puzzles to play there. They have comic books, 3D printers, recording studio, DVDs and even some video games. Best library ever.
I grew up in Jessamine County and visiting this library was always fun as a child. Now that I've lived in other places around the US (and taken work breaks on the road at other public libraries) I have so much respect for what the staff has been able to build here over the last couple decades. The building has been excellently remodeled, there are always community events scheduled, and the amenities are cutting edge (seriously a 3D printer and a recording room, too cool!). Definitely my work space of choice while I'm home between grad school-related internships.
Personally, I believe my library experience was exceptional. The roaming layout of the building was asthetically pleasing, along with the lounge areas. Books and other forms of media are abundant.There are a multitude of sections in the library for recreation and education. You mustn't forget the conventions they host for all age groups. If you get the chance to sojourn in this library please take time to enjoy all of its wonderful qualities.
Recently revamped building (2017). Lots of books as expected but also lots of computers and technology. 3d printers, laser cutter, and a studio room. Very clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
This is one fabulous library. The new upgrades reflect the intentionality of this library to offer Jessamine county residents the best. 3D printers, a recording studio, brand new children's section!
